TWF Townwide Fund of Huntington Thanks4Giving 4 Mile 2026

On November 26, 2026, the Townwide Fund of Huntington will host its annual Thanks4Giving 4 Miler race and Family Fun Run in Huntington, New York. This beloved Thanksgiving Day tradition welcomes over 2,000 runners who come together to enjoy a festive morning filled with spirited competition and community camaraderie.
The race begins at 9AM sharp from the heart of downtown Huntington on New York Avenue. The course winds through scenic neighborhoods featuring historic homes and charming parks, offering participants picturesque views along every mile. Costumed runners enhance the celebratory atmosphere as they weave their way past enthusiastic spectators cheering them on.
For those who prefer a shorter distance or want to enjoy the event with family, the Family Fun Run is also available for school-age kids and families looking to participate in the Thanksgiving spirit without the longer haul. It's an ideal opportunity for young runners to experience the thrill of racing while enjoying their first taste of marathon day fun.
Registration remains open until November 19th, after which bibs can be picked up at designated locations: Runners Edge Huntington on Tuesday, November 24th from 3pm to 6pm or at the American Legion Hall on Thursday, November 26th from 7-8am. For those who sign up before this date and have not received their bib via mail, they can also collect it during these times.
Race day pick-ups are strictly limited to a one-hour window starting at 7AM for both the main race participants and Family Fun Runners. It's crucial that all runners arrive early if planning to obtain their bibs on-site as no exceptions will be made outside of this timeframe.
Post-race celebrations include complimentary beer courtesy of Six Harbors, available exclusively to finishers right after crossing the line. T-shirts are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis at the start location starting from 7AM race day morning.
Join us in Huntington for an unforgettable Thanksgiving Day run that promises to blend athletic achievement with heartfelt community spirit.
