Trails de la Truyère

The Trails de la Truyère is an annual trail-running and hiking event set against the stunning backdrop of Cantal’s natural landscapes near Neuvéglise-sur-Truyère, starting from Lavastrie. This race offers runners a chance to explore diverse terrain including forests, valleys, mountains, and breathtaking views of the Gorges de la Truyère. The 2027 edition takes place on May 1st, providing participants with an idyllic setting for reconnecting with nature while challenging themselves.
The event features several routes catering to various skill levels: beginners can opt for the Lapinous trail at around 13 km, intermediate runners might choose the Pique Passe course stretching approximately 25 km, and more experienced athletes will enjoy the demanding Barrages route covering about 44 km. There’s also a relay option that covers 44 km in teams of two or three.
Beyond the competitive aspects, Trails de la Truyère offers family-friendly activities such as children's races and walks, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy. The event prides itself on its welcoming atmosphere, making it accessible even for those new to trail running.
