Sambonitaine

On November 11, 2026, runners and cyclists gather for the annual Sambonitaine race, an exhilarating journey through picturesque landscapes around St Bonnet. Participants choose from four distinct courses: a shorter 19 km route with 400 meters of elevation gain, starting at 8h and offering scenic prairies and valleys; a more challenging 35 km course with 950 meters of ascent, beginning at 7:30 AM through rolling hills and dense forests; the longest option, a grueling 56 km trek featuring over 1,600 meters of climbing, which ventures into uncharted forested areas seldom explored by previous editions; and finally, an epic 72 km route with nearly 2,050 meters of elevation gain, adding an extra loop to the already demanding 56 km course. Each path is a blend of technical climbs, scenic descents, and panoramic vistas that challenge both body and spirit. The event emphasizes safety, requiring participants to familiarize themselves with essential guidelines for health and security before registering. Come prepared to immerse yourself in nature’s beauty while pushing your physical limits on this memorable day.
