TRAIL HABITATIONS

Join us for the ninth edition of Trail Habitations on January 23, 2027, an exhilarating race through lush forests and historic ruins. This challenging course covers 14 kilometers with over 600 meters of elevation gain and loss, winding its way through dense jungle landscapes.
The trail starts at Degrad des Cannes near the Pascaud Habitation and takes runners on a technical journey filled with steep climbs and descents. Participants will encounter three historic ruins from the 17th century, once home to Jesuit fathers, adding an intriguing historical element to your run.
As you navigate through this rugged terrain, be prepared for sections of dense undergrowth where water sources are scarce. The route includes a particularly challenging ascent near the crête de Rémire, offering breathtaking views of both ocean and cityscape as you push forward.
For those who enjoy hiking, there's also an option to participate in a 13-kilometer march with less elevation change but equally captivating scenery. Both runners and hikers must carry essential gear including trail shoes, at least 1.5 liters of water, emergency blanket, whistle, lighter, and instant cold pack.
The race begins promptly at 09:00 AM after a brief gathering at the Pascaud Habitation where you'll receive your wrist band for identification purposes. The finish line awaits at Loyolat Habitation, marking the end of an unforgettable adventure through Guyana's stunning natural beauty and rich history.
