About the Event

The Elite Popey Association is thrilled to announce its inaugural trail race on October 24, 2026, nestled within the serene Monts du Lyonnais near Saint-Romain-de-Popey. This event promises a warm and authentic atmosphere that celebrates nature while offering runners an engaging challenge.
With two distinct routes, participants can choose between a 10 km course with just over 350 meters of elevation gain or take on the more demanding 22 km route boasting approximately 1,000 meters of ascent. Both trails feature diverse terrain including winding singletrack paths and scenic viewpoints that offer plenty of reasons to pause and admire the surroundings.
The event's intimate setting ensures a friendly ambiance with no more than 500 runners, fostering an environment where everyone feels welcomed by enthusiastic volunteers who are passionate about trail running. After the race, participants will enjoy a convivial dinner complete with entertainment and lively festivities that help cap off what promises to be an unforgettable day.
