Dardi'Trail

Dardilly is gearing up for its inaugural "Dardi'Trail" on October 25, 2026. Nestled just ten kilometers northwest of Lyon and overlooking the hills of the Lyon Metropolis, this charming town offers a picturesque setting for trail runners to explore.
The event features three distinct routes that cater to various skill levels:
- The "Dardi'Trail des 3 Vallons" is a challenging 25 km course with 600 mD+ elevation gain. Runners will traverse through the valleys of Beffe, Planches, and Serres. This route offers a mix of runnable sections and technical terrain that will test your endurance.
- The "Dardi'Trail des 2 Églises" is a more moderate 15 km course with 400 mD+ elevation gain. It pays homage to the neo-Roman bell towers of Bourg and Saint-Claude in Barriot, providing scenic views as you run through varied landscapes.
- The "Dardi'Trail du Fort du Paillet" is a family-friendly event for walkers and joëlette users, offering 7.5 km with minimal elevation changes. This route takes runners from the wooded area of Beffe to the paths of Arboretum and up to the historic Fort du Paillet.
Participants will start and finish at Salle de l'Aqueduc's esplanade in Dardilly, a cultural hub that sets the tone for this exciting event. The race organizers aim to make the experience inclusive by accommodating joëlette users on the 7.5 km route and offering separate starts for Nordic walkers.
Companies from the nearby Techlid technopole can also join in with their corporate teams competing over either the 15 or 25 km routes, adding a competitive edge to the event. A special children's race of 2 km around the Aqueduct ensures that young runners get involved too.
Post-race recovery is taken seriously here; local bouchons (traditional Lyonnais restaurants) will serve up hearty dishes like quenelles and cervelle de canut, perfect for refueling after a challenging run. And as you wind down with a visit to the Lacroix-Laval Park in Marcy-l'Étoile, surrounded by its 115 hectares of greenery, it's hard not to feel rejuvenated.
Join Dardilly on this exciting day and be part of history as they launch their first "Dardi'Trail."
