Sports enthusiasts, the Trail des 3 Rivières returns to St Jacut du Mené on November 7th for another thrilling semi-nocturnal adventure. Last year's success with nearly 400 participants has inspired this year’s edition, offering runners two scenic routes of 9 and 16 kilometers through a captivating landscape.
The event takes place in the heart of rural Brittany, starting at 5:30 PM as twilight descends upon the Mené region. The trail winds its way through lush forests, alongside tranquil rivers such as the Rance, and past historical landmarks including ancient menhirs, medieval castles, and intriguing geological formations known locally as "chaos."
Participants will experience varied terrain with rolling hills and challenging sections that require a headlamp once darkness falls. This element adds an extra layer of excitement to the run, making it essential for runners to navigate carefully through darkened paths while avoiding obstacles.
St Jacut du Mené is conveniently located within easy reach from several major towns: Lamballe (25 minutes), Loudéac (30 minutes), St Brieuc (35 minutes), Dinan (40 minutes), and Ploërmel or Rennes (both 45 minutes). The race not only offers a unique running experience but also includes post-race festivities with food stalls serving quick bites to refuel, along with live music that continues into the evening.
