TinMan Joburg #5

Joburg is gearing up for an electrifying series of multisport events with the TINMAN Series, set to take place at Prime View Adventure and Leisure on November 29, 2026. Whether you're a seasoned triathlete or just starting out, this event offers something thrilling for everyone. The day will feature five races ranging from the Mini Tri designed for kids aged eight years and up, to the Challenge distance that caters to serious competitors.
The venue’s natural beauty provides an awe-inspiring backdrop with lakes, trails, and expansive open spaces perfect for racing and relaxation alike. Competitors can expect a vibrant atmosphere filled with camaraderie as athletes of all ages push their limits alongside cheering crowds and family members who come equipped with picnic blankets to enjoy the day's festivities.
Participants will tackle distances such as 200m swims, 6km cycles, and 2.5km runs in the Mini Tri event, while more seasoned athletes can look forward to longer challenges like a 1.2km swim followed by a grueling 40km cycle and concluding with a 10km run for the Challenge distance.
Registration is available on race day from 5:45 am at Prime View Adventure and Leisure, ensuring there’s plenty of time before hitting the course start times which will be confirmed closer to the event. With cut-off times ranging from two hours forty-five minutes up to three hours fifty minutes depending on the category, athletes have ample opportunity to showcase their skills.
