Red Barn Trial Run/Walk - 15 November 2026

On November 15, 2026, runners of all ages are invited to experience The Big Red Barn Trails in Olifantsfontein for an unforgettable race day. Set against the backdrop of Sunlawns AH, this scenic venue offers a variety of distances including a family-friendly 2km walk and more challenging options like the 15km and 21km routes.
Registration opens at dawn on November 15th with participants able to start anytime between 06:30 and 07:30. The event is pet-friendly, allowing runners to bring their furry companions along for a shared adventure through picturesque trails.
Due to the current condition of the nearby river, the 15km course combines elements of both the 10km and 5km routes, while the 21km route loops around the scenic 10km trail. Water tables are strategically placed throughout each distance to keep participants hydrated during their journey.
The Red Barn Restaurant will be open for those who wish to refuel with food and drinks before or after the race. The venue also offers free parking and a finisher medal upon completion of any route, along with Vitality Points redeemable at various locations post-race.
Participants can make an impact beyond just their personal achievements by donating their finisher medals or additional funds to the Make A Difference Campaign, which supports local animal shelters throughout the year. This unique opportunity allows runners to contribute positively to their community while enjoying a memorable day of exercise and camaraderie in nature.
Runners should note that refunds are not available due to weather-related cancellations or venue damage, nor can entries be transferred if participants fail to show up on race day. However, no license is required for participation, making it accessible for all who wish to join this vibrant event.
