The Zipping Zebra Run

Join us for the Zipping Zebra Run, an inclusive and welcoming event that promises to cater to all abilities. Set against the backdrop of the picturesque River Thames at The Last Hop venue in Staines, this 7-hour Time Challenge offers runners complete freedom over their distance choice, with a minimum requirement of just 3 kilometers.
The course features well-maintained paths and tarmac surfaces, making it suitable for road shoes all year round. For those looking to adhere strictly to UK Athletics guidelines, the event includes designated turn points at both 3km and 5km marks within each lap, ensuring compliance with age restrictions. A full lap measures approximately 4.37 miles (or 7 kilometers), though this may be adjusted based on course conditions closer to race day.
Participants can earn themed medals simply by completing the minimum distance of 3 kilometers, while those aiming for longer distances will receive special pins upon reaching milestones such as half-marathon, marathon, and ultra distances. Vegan runners are also accommodated with a dedicated goody bag option available at registration.
The event is licensed under UK Athletics rules and Trail Running Association guidelines, offering members an additional discount on entry fees along with guaranteed spots and exclusive mini-medal pins for each race attended. Discounts of £2.00 apply to affiliated club members.
Race day amenities include comprehensive aid stations equipped with a wide range of drinks and snacks, including vegan options, located conveniently at the start/finish area throughout the event duration. Participants can also enjoy free access to public toilets within The Last Hop venue for changing purposes if needed.
For those celebrating personal milestones or simply marking special achievements in their running journey, custom-numbered placards will be provided upon request during registration. Additional parking is available nearby in Bridge Street Car Park.
Detailed race day instructions and number pick-up information will be communicated via email a week before the event date to ensure all participants are well-prepared for this unique and memorable experience on February 6th, 2027.
The Zipping Zebra Run invites runners of every level to explore scenic routes along the River Thames while enjoying an atmosphere that celebrates diversity and achievement. Don't miss out on the opportunity to collect your themed medal and commemorate a day filled with running fun!
