The Wensum Way Trail

The Wensum Way Trail returns for its third year on September 26, 2027, offering runners two distinct challenges: a 5.3 km trail run and an extended endurance option. Start times are set at 9 AM for the longer event and 11 AM for those aiming to complete their course in four hours.
The route winds through picturesque landscapes along the riverbank and around serene lakes within the park, providing a gentle yet scenic experience with minimal elevation gain—just 9 meters over its entirety. This flat terrain makes it ideal for setting personal bests or easing into trail running.
Aid stations will be stationed at base camp, ensuring participants can focus solely on their run without worrying about carrying extra supplies. Upon crossing the finish line, runners are invited to relax and enjoy a complimentary coffee and cake while basking in the event's festive atmosphere.
All finishers receive a bespoke medal as part of their entry package, with additional options for previous year’s medals through the Lucky Dip choice if available. The event encourages eco-friendly participation by reminding all participants to bring reusable cups or bottles for aid station refills.
Whether you're pushing your limits on this flat and fast course or simply enjoying the stunning scenery, the Wensum Way Trail promises an unforgettable adventure in a beautiful setting.
