The Unicorn New Years Day Run 2026

Kick off the New Year with an invigorating run at The Unicorn Inn in Telford on January 1st. Choose from four exciting distances: a brisk 5K, an engaging 8-mile route, a challenging metric marathon (16 miles), or push yourself to the full marathon distance. All runners will enjoy the scenic Ironbridge Loop, which offers stunning views and historic charm.
Upon crossing the finish line, you'll receive a lucky dip medal as a token of your achievement. Relax with a refreshing beer at The Unicorn Inn afterward, celebrating the start of the new year in style. Whether you're looking to ease into 2024 with a gentle jog or tackle one of the longer distances, there's an option for everyone.
The event begins promptly at 10am, making it perfect for those who want to combine this run with a morning park run or simply enjoy a leisurely start. With six and a half hours of daylight available, all runners should have ample time to complete their chosen distance comfortably.
Join us on New Year's Day for an unforgettable running experience that sets the tone for your year ahead.
