The Trod 50k

The Trod, set against the breathtaking backdrop of Yorkshire Dales, is an exhilarating 50k trail race that challenges runners and walkers alike with its rugged terrain. Spanning over 1260 meters of ascent, this route takes you through some of the region's most stunning landscapes, including Malham Tarn and Arncliffe. The course weaves along sections of the Dales Way, offering a mix of runnable trails and boggy moorland that tests both navigation skills and endurance.
Participants must adhere strictly to the GPX route for the 25k race but have more flexibility with the longer distance; however, all checkpoints must be visited in order. With minimal way markers and marshals along the course, this event demands experienced fell runners who are proficient at map reading and navigating through challenging terrain.
Registration takes place on Saturday, October 16th, from 06:00 to 07:45 AM at Grassington Primary School before the race starts promptly at 8:00 AM. The Trod includes live tracking, aid stations with hot and cold food and drinks, a finisher meal, and a Due North Gift/Medal for all who complete the course.
For those looking to secure their place early, entries open on Saturday, October 31st, at 8:00 AM. The event is suitable only for participants aged 20 or older, promising an unforgettable adventure through Yorkshire's iconic landscapes.
