Wadsworth Half Trog Fell Race

Experience one of the region's most challenging races without committing to the full Trog distance. On November 15, 2026, runners will tackle 9.3 miles (15km) packed with varied terrain and plenty of mud. This event requires excellent navigation skills as only parts of the route are flagged, making it crucial for participants to carry a map, compass, whistle, emergency food, waterproof full-body cover, gloves, and a hat—equipment mandated by UKA rules under FRA licensing.
The race starts at 11:00 am, with a mandatory kit check before number allocation. Given the area's regular shooting activities on the moors, no pre-race scouting is allowed on Saturdays to ensure safety for all participants. With limited parking available, carpooling and following marshals' instructions are essential for a smooth race day experience.
This event offers runners an unforgettable journey through some of the toughest yet most scenic landscapes in the area, making it a must-attend for both seasoned competitors and those looking to push their limits on challenging terrain.
