The Round Res

The Round Res, situated near Scammonden Water northwest of Huddersfield, is an exhilarating team relay race that challenges participants to navigate the scenic reservoir. Teams consist of three runners who collectively cover 30 kilometers around this picturesque water body.
Each team must include at least one women's or men's squad and can enter as many teams as desired. The event encourages clubs to assemble a mix of abilities rather than relying solely on their fastest athletes, ensuring an engaging competition for all levels.
The race unfolds over three laps with distinct distances:
- Lap 1: Runner One embarks solo on the first leg covering 15 kilometers.
- Lap 2: After completing their lap, Runner Two joins in to cover a 10-kilometer stretch together.
- Final Lap: The team unites for one final run of 5 kilometers as they all cross the finish line.
