Runners can enjoy stunning views as they navigate through this scenic route that is fully marked for easy navigation. Participants are encouraged to wear road shoes suitable for year-round conditions. Registration begins at 8am on the day of the event, and runners will receive their race numbers upon check-in before the official start time of 9am. The venue, located at Unit 2, Thames Edge Court in Staines (TW18 4SU), provides basic facilities including toilets but no changing rooms or showers. The Penguin Plod is licensed by the Trail Running Association and adheres to UK Athletics rules. Members can take advantage of discounted entry fees and receive a mini-me medal pin at every event they attend, while runners from affiliated clubs get an additional £2 discount on their registration fee. Upon completing 3km, all participants will earn a themed finisher's medal, with distance-specific pins available for those who complete half-marathon distances or longer.
