PHOENIX - Lest We Forget - 2026

Join Phoenix Running for an unforgettable weekend of remembrance on November 7th and 8th, 2026. On the first day, participants can take part in the Lest We Forget Run, where you'll earn a remarkable antique brass medal featuring a solitary soldier honoring fallen comrades. The ribbon's Velcro design allows it to be removed for display as a striking tribute.
The following day, don't miss out on Phoenix Running’s annual Remembrance Day Run, known for its iconic 1-kilogram medal with an impressive one-inch thickness. This event is perfect for those looking to commemorate the occasion in style and substance.
This year's Lest We Forget Run offers runners a unique experience across various distances ranging from 5km to ultra-marathons. The course follows a picturesque out-and-back route along the River Thames, covering a distance of 3.28 miles (or 5.3 kilometers) per lap. With a flexible start window and a generous seven-hour time limit, you can choose your own pace and plan accordingly.
Whether you're looking to complete one lap or push yourself further, every finisher will receive the distinctive bespoke medal that celebrates this poignant occasion. The event caters to all abilities, ensuring everyone feels like a winner upon crossing the line.
For those seeking flexibility without compromising on the running experience, Phoenix Running introduces an innovative 'no-medal' entry option at just £20. This allows runners to participate in the full event experience — from aid stations and real-time results to digital certificates — minus the cost of a medal. The beauty lies in the freedom: you can decide during your run whether to continue or stop, knowing that every step counts.
The terrain is primarily off-road trail on flat riverside towpaths with no elevation gain, making it an ideal route for both speed and endurance runners alike. With limited spots available, early entry is recommended to secure a place in this meaningful event.
Experience the blend of tradition and modern running culture at Phoenix Running’s Lest We Forget Run weekend — where every lap runs deeper than just distance.
Join us as we honor our heroes with each stride taken along the Thames.
