The Hardmoors 60

The Hardmoors 60, scheduled for September 18, 2027, invites runners to embark on an epic journey through the North York Moors. The race begins at Guisborough Rugby Club with registration starting at 06:30 and a prompt start time of 08:00 AM.
Participants will be equipped with GPS trackers for real-time location updates, enhancing safety and allowing friends and family to follow their progress online. Mandatory kit includes essential items such as waterproof jackets, headlamps, survival bags, and maps, ensuring runners are prepared for the varied terrain and unpredictable weather conditions along the route.
The race offers two non-returnable drop bag options at Runswick Bay (21 miles) and Ravenscar (40 miles), allowing runners to leave behind unnecessary gear. However, these must be clearly labeled with your name and checkpoint details.
Support crews are permitted only from Scarborough to the finish line in Filey but cannot carry any of a runner's equipment. Cut-off times at checkpoints are strictly enforced; missing them will result in disqualification by marshals on site. No support is allowed at Runswick Bay, Hornblower, or Ravenscar unless it’s an emergency.
Runners using the coach service from Filey to Guisborough should arrive no later than 5:50 AM for departure at 6:00 AM sharp. The race offers options like XCover insurance for those who need financial protection against unforeseen circumstances that might prevent them from participating.
This event promises a challenging yet rewarding experience through the stunning North York Moors, combining breathtaking scenery with rigorous endurance testing.
