The Grind - Gauteng's Ultimate Gravel Test

The Grind returns to Valley Lodge & Spa in Magaliesburg on February 6, 2027, marking the launch of the Stellantis Adventure Series. Cyclists can choose from three challenging gravel routes: a grueling 155km course, a more manageable 70km option, and a shorter but no less demanding 45km route. All distances offer breathtaking Magaliesburg scenery and varied terrain that will test even the most seasoned riders. E-bike enthusiasts can join in separate categories for each cycling distance except the U19 class of the 45km race.
Trail runners and walkers are not to be left out, with three scenic trail options: a challenging 15km run, a family-friendly 10km walk/run, and an accessible 5km route. Each path winds through the picturesque Magaliesburg countryside, providing a mix of elevation changes and stunning views.
The event promises more than just competition; it's about enjoying nature while pushing your limits on challenging terrain that can be either heaven or hell depending on how well-prepared you are. With R40,000 in prize money up for grabs on the day, The Grind offers a thrilling start to what is sure to be an exciting series of adventure races.
