The Great British Easter Run - The Orange Turning Point
About the Event
Easter 10 in 10: Day 5 Challenge - March 30, 2027 Join us for the fifth day of our Easter 10 in 10 challenge at The Last Hop on Clarence Street in Staines. Whether you're participating in all ten days or just joining us this Tuesday, everyone is welcome to participate and enjoy an inclusive running experience. The event kicks off at 8:30 AM with a flexible format that allows runners of all abilities and even walkers to take part. The course winds along the picturesque River Thames, featuring well-maintained paths and tarmac surfaces with just a short stretch of grass terrain. Participants can choose their own distance within a 7-hour window, starting from as little as 3 kilometers up to an ultra-distance run. The route is fully marked for easy navigation, making it accessible even without navigational skills. The minimum age requirements set by UK Athletics must be adhered to; younger runners have the option of turning at designated points to comply with these rules. Upon completion of a half-marathon or more, participants will receive distance pins as part of their medal ribbon, celebrating milestones such as 50 kilometers and ultra distances. Aid stations are strategically placed throughout the course, offering refreshments like drinks and snacks including vegan options for those who require them. Additionally, all finishers will be rewarded with a themed medal and a goody bag filled with treats to enjoy after their run. The Last Hop venue offers toilet facilities but no changing rooms or showers; runners can make use of the large downstairs toilets if needed. Parking is available at Bridge Street Car Park nearby for participants who need it. Race day instructions will be sent out via email ahead of time, and number pick-up takes place on-site before the start of the event. Secure bag storage isn't provided, so please refrain from leaving valuables unattended in the area. Join us to experience a scenic run along the Thames while enjoying an inclusive atmosphere tailored for all runners and walkers alike.
