Easter 10 in 10: Day One at The Last Hop Join us for the first day of our Easter-themed Time Challenge event, set to take place on March 26, 2027. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting out, everyone is welcome to participate and enjoy this inclusive running experience. The event kicks off at 8:30 AM sharp from The Last Hop in Staines, located at Unit 2, Thames Edge Court, Clarence Street, TW18 4SU. Members of the club can secure a discounted entry price by £10 compared to non-members and will also receive exclusive benefits like mini-me medal pins for each event they attend. This day's challenge offers participants full control over their distance, with an open window from 3km up to ultra distances. The course is designed along picturesque stretches of the River Thames, featuring well-maintained paths and tarmac surfaces. A short grass section adds a unique element to your run while ensuring that road shoes are suitable for all conditions. The route includes designated turn points at both 3km and 5km marks within each lap, making it easier for younger runners or those adhering strictly to UK Athletics distance guidelines. Each full loop measures either 4.37 miles (7km) or could adjust slightly depending on course evaluations closer to the event date. Upon completing a minimum of 3 kilometers, all finishers will receive an exclusive themed medal celebrating their achievement. Additional pins are available for those who complete half-marathon distances and beyond, including options like Mega-Half, Marathon, Ultra, and 50km badges. To round out your day, enjoy refreshments at the well-stocked aid table located near the start/finish line. Here you'll find a variety of drinks and snacks ranging from savory treats to sweet indulgences, with vegan-friendly choices also available. Participants are encouraged to mark significant milestones such as their 50th marathon or half-marathon by informing us ahead of time; we’ll provide personalized recognition for these special achievements on race day. The venue offers basic amenities including toilets accessible starting at 8 AM. While there aren't dedicated changing facilities, participants can make use of the spacious downstairs restrooms if needed during their run. For parking convenience, Bridge Street Car Park in Staines (TW18 4TP) is recommended for those traveling by car. Race day instructions will be communicated via email leading up to the event, and number pick-up will take place on-site before the start of your challenge. Headphones are allowed during the run to help set the mood or maintain focus as you navigate through this scenic course.
