About the Event

Embrace the shortest day of the year with a unique endurance challenge at the Frostbite Solstice Trail Race on December 20, 2026, a sanctioned Athletics Ontario event hosted by Happy Trails Racing at the scenic Marydale Park in Mount Hope. Run for the entire 8 hours, 58 minutes of daylight (7:48 AM to 4:47 PM), tackle the Half Solstice (4h 29m), Quarter Solstice (2h 15m), or form a relay team of up to five on a picturesque 3.7km loop course featuring rolling hills, forested trails, and open fields. All participants receive a crewneck sweatshirt, finisher medal, and aid station support stocked with hot drinks, soup, and ultra-running snacks, while racing in partnership with La Sportiva, who will be on-site with demo shoes and giveaways.
