The Fleeting Frog Run

Welcome to the Fleeting Frog Run, an inclusive and welcoming race that celebrates both nature and community spirit. Set for Saturday, February 13th, 2027, this unique event offers runners of all abilities—from seasoned athletes to casual walkers—the chance to explore a scenic stretch along the River Thames.
The run kicks off at 9am sharp from The Last Hop in Staines, where participants will embark on a course that meanders through well-maintained paths and tarmac roads. For those interested in pushing their limits, this is a time challenge event with no set distance; runners can complete as many laps of the 4.37-mile or 7km loop (or its shorter variant) as they wish within the seven-hour timeframe.
The setting itself is idyllic, offering picturesque views and fresh air along every lap. Whether you're aiming for a half marathon, full marathon, ultra distance, or simply enjoying a leisurely walk, this event caters to everyone’s pace and goals. Younger runners will appreciate designated turn points at 3km and 5km, ensuring compliance with UK Athletics age restrictions.
Upon crossing the finish line after completing just 3 kilometers, you'll receive an exclusive themed medal that celebrates your achievement in style. For those who tackle longer distances, additional pins are available to commemorate half-marathon efforts or beyond, adding a touch of personal recognition to each milestone reached.
Fueling stations at the start/finish area provide runners with an array of beverages and snacks throughout their journey—perfect for recharging during breaks between laps. Vegan-friendly options ensure that all dietary preferences are accommodated.
To enhance your experience even further, members enjoy exclusive perks such as discounted entry fees, guaranteed spots in select events, and a collection of mini-medal pins to add to your running memorabilia. Additionally, runners affiliated with UK Athletics clubs can look forward to an extra discount on their registration fee.
On race day, The Last Hop venue offers basic amenities including toilets for use from 8am onwards. While there are no formal changing facilities or showers available at the location, ample space is provided within the downstairs restrooms should you need them. For those traveling by car, parking can be found nearby in Bridge Street Car Park.
As part of our commitment to inclusivity and celebration, we invite participants who reach significant milestones such as their 50th marathon or half-marathon run with us to notify us ahead of time for personalized recognition on race day.
Join the Fleeting Frog Run this February and immerse yourself in a rewarding experience that combines physical challenge with community camaraderie. Whether you’re chasing personal bests or simply enjoying the scenic route, there’s something here for every runner.
We look forward to seeing you at The Last Hop!
