Dive into the wilds of North Yorkshire with an unforgettable obstacle course race designed for both humans and their canine companions. This unique event takes place at Aske Estate, just outside Richmond, offering runners and their dogs a thrilling challenge through picturesque rolling countryside bordering the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Participants can choose between two routes: a 5km circuit featuring a minimum of 38 obstacles or an extended 10km course with no fewer than 53 challenges. Each obstacle is clearly marked to guide you along your path, allowing both owners and dogs to tackle some together while others require human-only efforts. Secure tie-up points are provided at each challenge so that participants can safely manage their pets when necessary. The terrain varies dramatically throughout the race, with off-road sections cutting through marshy areas, bogs, dense woodland, and rough hilly ground interspersed by stretches of tracks and open fields. The course is filled with a diverse range of obstacles designed to test both physical prowess and mental fortitude, including climbing, jumping, wading, swinging, and crawling over or under various structures. As you near the finish line, prepare for an 850-meter assault course that plunges into deep mud and water. This final stretch features more than two dozen additional obstacles, ensuring a truly memorable end to your adventure. The challenges are thoughtfully distributed throughout both routes, with many incorporating multiple components to keep participants engaged. The event caters to different age groups: the 10km route is open to anyone aged 16 and older, while those between 12 and 15 can take on the shorter 5km course. Whether you're an avid runner or simply looking for a fun day out with your dog, this race offers an unparalleled blend of excitement and scenic beauty that will leave both participants and spectators in awe. Experience the thrill of conquering nature's obstacles alongside your four-legged friend amidst one of England’s most stunning landscapes.
