TBF MTB Clinic - Off Road Mountain Biking

The TBF Mountain Bike Clinic offers an immersive experience for riders of all skill levels, combining professional coaching with practical drills to enhance your off-road riding abilities. The clinic is divided into two sessions: Level 1 and Level 2, each designed to build upon the previous one.
Level 1 Clinic
This introductory session focuses on equipping you with essential knowledge about bike setup, trail etiquette, and gear selection. You'll learn how to maintain proper cadence and shifting techniques while mastering balance through body movement and pedal technique. The clinic also covers crucial skills like mounting and dismounting the bike efficiently, as well as emergency stops. Participants will practice cornering on various surfaces, adjusting tire pressure for optimal performance, and selecting lines based on vision and speed control.
After honing these foundational skills in a controlled environment, you'll head out onto short trails to apply what you've learned. The day concludes with insights from TBF coaches about local trail recommendations and favorite riding spots.
Level 2 Clinic
Building on the basics covered in Level 1, this advanced session delves deeper into terrain reading and line selection for optimal speed control. You'll explore various techniques for passing other riders safely through verbal communication and quick accelerations. The clinic also covers climbing and descending strategies with a focus on pedal technique and cadence.
Participants will tackle challenging obstacles like drop-offs, sand riding, and jumping techniques in diverse trail conditions featuring granite boulders, jumps, rock gardens, and more. TBF coaches share their favorite trails for further exploration after the session.
Both clinics include Clif Bar snacks and FLUID fuel to keep you energized throughout the day. The event concludes with a coached ride on local trails at Granite Beach, providing an opportunity to practice your new skills in real-world conditions.
