StardGRL

StardGRL is an exciting running circuit featuring nine races across the Drechtsteden region, offering runners from various age groups the chance to compete over six of these events. Each race brings together vibrant communities and enthusiastic athletes who celebrate their achievements with post-race discussions, showers, and refreshments.
The StardGRL series includes certified distances such as 5K, 10K, half-marathon, and 10-mile races organized by five athletics clubs and four local running committees. Participants can join the circuit starting at age 18 without needing a race license. The events are spread throughout the year, providing runners with varied challenges across different terrains.

Starting from this year, runners will receive a new race number and timing method at each event rather than an annual shoetag. This means that the specific timing technology used can vary between races but ensures seamless participation without needing to return borrowed equipment or pay additional deposits.
Runners' age categories are determined by their age on January 9, 2027, with automatic reclassification into new age groups if they turn 35, 45, 55, or 65 before October 30, 2027. For the over-65 category to be recognized in the standings, there must be at least ten participants.
