Springfield Turkey Trot 5K and 1 mile run/walk

On November 21, 2026, the Springfield community comes together to celebrate its annual Turkey Trot, an inspiring run that raises funds for Obed’s House. This year's race aims to support children at this residential care facility located in the Philippines by funding sports and extra-curricular activities.
Participants can choose between a challenging 5K or a more relaxed one-mile route through picturesque neighborhood streets of Springfield. Registration is now open until October 22nd, with early bird rates available for $35 per race option including a t-shirt; after that date, the cost increases to $40 and will only be accepted online on race day.
The event kicks off at 9:00 am sharp, following an hour of packet pick-up from 8:00 am until 8:45 am. Race results are updated in real-time via Key Sports' website or the ITS YOUR RACE app as runners cross the finish line.
Prizes and recognition await top performers across various categories:
- The overall male and female winners will be awarded a $100 gift card to Runners Plus, a finisher medal, and a frozen turkey from Kroger.
- Age group champions (excluding the overall winners) receive a $20 gift card to Runners Plus, a finisher medal, and a frozen turkey.
- The top three male and female runners in each age category will also be honored with a finisher medal.

Remember that there is no refund policy for cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, public safety issues, pandemic guidelines, or other emergencies deemed necessary by the race organizers and officials.
