Snow Peaks 50 Mile Trail Run

Snow Peak 50 is an exhilarating mountain challenge set against the dramatic backdrop of Utah's Wasatch Mountains on June 12, 2027. This race begins at dawn from Vivian Park and immediately immerses runners into a loop course that features over 10,000 feet of elevation gain and loss across five major climbs ranging in height from 1,100 to nearly 3,000 feet.
The route starts gently along the Provo River Trail past Bridal Veil Falls before transitioning onto dirt roads and single-track paths as you ascend into higher elevations. The course offers sweeping views of Kyhv Peak and Rock Canyon while winding through old logging roads, alpine meadows, and high ridgelines. Runners will encounter a mix of smooth dirt road and rugged terrain, with stream crossings and snow patches adding to the challenge.
Around mile 17, the race descends into Pole Heaven Canyon before climbing again into Sheep Canyon—a remote section known for its serene trails and scenic beauty. The climb to Windy Pass at approximately 9,300 feet is steep and wild, offering stunning panoramic views of Utah Valley and distant Mount Nebo.
From this high point, runners enjoy a nearly 4,000-foot descent through aspen groves, pine forests, and technical traverses before returning to the runnable canyon roads near Vivian Park. The final miles see you descending steadily back toward the riverbank where the race finishes—tired but triumphant.
This event is not for the faint of heart; it's a true test that challenges your physical limits while rewarding you with breathtaking mountain scenery and an unforgettable sense of achievement.
