Semi-Marathon de Moneteau et 5 Km

On April 25, 2027, runners will converge on the picturesque towns of Monéteau and Gurgy for the 32nd edition of this beloved regional race. Known for its flat course that winds through charming neighborhoods, this semi-marathon offers a seamless route with no elevation changes to challenge participants.
The event attracts nearly 700 athletes from across France and beyond, including runners from Germany who travel specifically for the occasion. The race is officially sanctioned by the French Athletics Federation and serves as a qualifier for national championships in Yonne. Participants can look forward to an inclusive atmosphere where everyone receives a finisher's medal, technical t-shirt, and goodie bag.
For those interested in shorter distances, there’s also a 5K event that has earned regional status this year. Both races start and finish at the same location on the route d’Auxerre in Monéteau, offering runners a straightforward course with scenic views of local landmarks along the way.
In addition to the competitive spirit, race organizers are hosting a pasta party on the evening before the event and an after-race refreshment station for those who pre-register. For top finishers in both the full semi-marathon and 5K races, there’s a grand prize: all-inclusive travel packages to compete at the International Half Marathon and 10K race in Trier, Germany on September 19, 2027.
Race numbers can be picked up on the morning of April 25th if not pre-registered. This event promises an unforgettable blend of competition and camaraderie for runners of all levels.
Runners are encouraged to experience the unique charm of Monéteau and Gurgy, where a flat course and supportive community make this race a standout on any runner’s calendar.
