Selworthy Stargazer

Dive into an enchanting night adventure with the Selworthy Stargazer, now a celebrated part of Exmoor National Park’s Dark Skies Festival. This festival honors Exmoor as Europe's first designated Dark Sky Reserve, offering runners the chance to explore its pristine landscapes under starlit skies.
The race features two trail running options: 5km and 10km routes winding through the breathtaking moors between North Hill and Bossington Hill, culminating in a summit of Selworthy Beacon. Both courses are designed with well-maintained trails and tracks that provide both smooth stretches and sections where technical skills come into play.
Registration opens at 6:15 PM on race day. The longer route starts promptly at 7:25 PM, followed by the shorter course beginning just five minutes later. Participants will need their headlamps to navigate through this unique nocturnal setting, immersing themselves in a serene and awe-inspiring natural environment.
To align with sustainability goals, custom wooden finisher medals are available for purchase during registration but only until one week before race day. This initiative aims to minimize waste while still rewarding those who wish to commemorate their achievement with an exclusive memento.
Online entry closes two days prior to the event; however, limited on-the-day entries may be offered based on availability. These last-minute sign-ups do not include medal purchases but ensure that everyone can participate in this stellar experience regardless of how early they register.
