2026 Champaign Aruna Run

The race kicks off at Memorial Park, encircled by historic buildings and vibrant fall foliage that blankets the landscape with rich colors on race day. This year marks its third consecutive edition, cementing it as a beloved local tradition.
Runners can choose from two options: the 5K Run/Walk or volunteer their time to support the community at no cost. The 5K course begins near Memorial Park's central fountain and weaves through picturesque Urbana streets before concluding on the University of Illinois campus grounds. The terrain, a blend of firm and slightly soft surfaces, offers an engaging challenge that is both rewarding for participants.
All proceeds from this year’s event will benefit local education scholarships. Race day commences at 8 AM; early arrival is recommended due to anticipated high participation numbers. A scenic route with minimal elevation changes awaits runners, featuring aid stations every kilometer to ensure a smooth journey.
