SEASON 3 WILD HYBRID LAKE DISTRICT - GRASMERE

Nestled among the rolling hills and serene lakes of Cumbria, Grasmere offers runners an idyllic setting for their athletic pursuits. The town is famously associated with William Wordsworth, who once described it as "the most loveliest spot that man hath found," a sentiment echoed by those who take part in this event.
The race takes place at the picturesque Grasmere Sports Ground on July 17, 2027, where participants will engage in a series of challenges designed to test their fitness and endurance. The course features two distances: a scenic 1km run around the sports ground and its surrounding trails, and an enchanting 5km lap that encircles Grasmere Lake.
Starting times for competitors are communicated via email one week before the event, with options ranging from early morning at 8:00 am to late afternoon finishes by 5:00 pm. Each participant will wear a live chip timing device throughout the race, ensuring accurate and timely results.
Upon crossing the finish line, runners can look forward to receiving unique merchandise provided by event sponsors as part of their completion prize. Additionally, there are flags awarded for podium positions in each standard (RX) category, which will be mailed out after the competition has concluded.
