Santa's Toy Trot 5K Run/Walk 2026

On December 6, 2026, runners of all abilities will gather at Shorefront Park on Smith Street in Patchogue, New York for the Feel Good Event of the Year. Starting at 9:30 AM with a festive atmosphere and live music, participants can enjoy free beer as they warm up before the race.
The main event is a heartwarming 5K run that begins promptly at 10 AM. This year's edition includes goal pacers for all-ability categories, ensuring runners have support to reach their personal best times in under 30 minutes, 40 minutes, and 50 minutes. The route winds through the scenic coastal area of Patchogue, offering a mix of flat terrain that is ideal for achieving faster paces.
After crossing the finish line, participants will receive a high-quality long-sleeve shirt as part of their race package. Additionally, runners are encouraged to bring new and unwrapped toys for the Kiwanis Club's Community Toy Drive, which supports local children in need through the charitable 501(c)3 Kiwanis Foundation.
The event is sanctioned by USATF-LONG ISLAND and counts as an Individual & Team scoring race within the USATF-LI Grand Prix series. All participants are welcome to join and even become members of this prestigious organization if they wish to compete for scores throughout the season.
With a heated tent fit for up to 1,200 runners, there's plenty of room to socialize before or after the race in a warm environment while enjoying live music and free beer. This event is not just about running; it’s an opportunity to give back to your community and have fun with fellow participants.
