As you progress towards Shanklin, the course alternates between firm sandy beaches and elevated cliff-top trails offering panoramic views of the sea. The route also includes peaceful wooded sections where runners can enjoy a momentary respite from the seaside hustle.

The Sandown to Shanklin Coastal Run is an England Athletics-affiliated event that features trophies awarded to the top three male and female finishers. All participants receive a bespoke medal upon completion. The race also includes water stations at key points along the course as well as first aid support, ensuring a safe running environment for all competitors.
On-Demand registration is available with bag drop services provided by Pluto’s Cafe in Sandown. Public toilets are conveniently located near Browns and Pluto’s Café for participants’ convenience. Car park fees apply at Browns (£3.00 for 3 hours) or the nearby IOW Zoo, while parking remains free at select locations.
