Introducing three thrilling routes for runners and adventurers: 5 Res, 10 Res, and the challenging 15 Res Ultra Marathon. These courses offer diverse terrain and breathtaking views across Saddleworth Moor. The 5 Res route is a circular course covering 26 kilometers with an elevation gain of 692 meters. This shorter option includes two support checkpoints along the way, including one indoor venue at Castleshaw Outdoor Centre before returning to the Rugby Club for a well-deserved finish. For those seeking more mileage and challenge, the 10 Res route spans 43 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1379 meters. This original course features iconic sections like the infamous boulder field and challenging boggy terrain. Participants will pass through three checkpoints before reaching the Cricket Club for a traditional pie and peas finish. The most adventurous runners can tackle the 15 Res Ultra Marathon, stretching over 62 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1981 meters, offering participants up to 12 hours to complete it while adhering to strict time cut-offs. Five checkpoints are strategically placed along this route, including three indoor venues for respite and refueling. All routes require self-navigation as none of the paths are marked; however, Open Tracking devices will be provided to track progress and ensure safety during the event. Friends and family can follow runners' movements via a link sent before race day. Registration opens at 7 AM on March 6, 2027, with start times scheduled for: - 8:00 AM: Early starters (15 Res & 10 Res) who anticipate completing in over seven hours. - 9:00 AM: Main start time for the 10 Res race. - 10:00 AM: Start of the 5 Res route. The event takes place at Saddleworth Cricket Club, located on Calf Lane in Greenfield, Oldham Lancashire (OL3 7HY). GPS devices can be used for navigation but participants must adhere strictly to the advertised route. Age limits apply: 17 years or older for the 5 Res, 18 years or older for the 10 Res, and 20 years or older for the 15 Res Ultra Marathon.
