Ryde Public School

On November 19, 2026, Ryde Public School will host free bike skills sessions designed to help children aged 8-12 years old enhance their cycling confidence and control. The session takes place from 4pm to 5:30pm on the basketball and netball courts located at Argyle Avenue's pedestrian gate entrance.
Participants are encouraged to bring a well-maintained bicycle, helmet, water bottle, comfortable clothing, and closed-toe shoes for safety and comfort during the training. The program focuses on building essential skills in a supportive environment that fosters confidence among young riders. Sessions will proceed even if there is light rain but may be canceled due to severe weather conditions.
This initiative, part of the NSW Government’s Get Kids Active Program, aims to empower children with the ability to ride safely and encourages families to adopt walking or cycling as daily commuting options. The sessions are organized by AusBike, ensuring that young cyclists receive professional guidance in a fun and engaging setting. For more information, contact Ben Thomson at [email protected].
