Ruse Public School

On November 15, 2026, Ruse Public School hosts two complimentary bike skills sessions designed to empower young riders. The Free Beginner Bike Skills Session runs from 10am to 11:30am and is tailored for children aged 8-12 who can ride independently but seek to enhance their confidence and core riding abilities in a supportive environment. Following this, the Free Advanced Bike Skills Session takes place from 12:30pm to 2pm, catering to confident riders eager to refine control and learn advanced techniques.
Both sessions are held at Ruse Public School's basketball courts under the guidance of experienced coaches who will assist participants with choosing the right level on the day if unsure. Attendees must bring a well-maintained bike, helmet, water bottle, comfortable clothing, and closed-toe shoes. Sessions proceed in light rain but may be canceled due to severe weather conditions.
The NSW Government’s Get Kids Active program supports these sessions through AusBike, aiming to build children's confidence and skills for safe riding while encouraging more families to walk or ride to school. For further information or contact details, reach out to Ben Thomson at [email protected].
