Run Run Rudolph - Community / Family Christmas Walk & Run 2026
About the Event
Run Run Rudolph returns for its fifth year, promising another festive weekend filled with joy and community spirit. This year's celebration kicks off on Saturday evening at Kilcullen GAA Clubhouse from 5 PM with a Community/Family 2.5 KMs Walk & Run event. The following morning, Sunday, sees the continuation of the festivities with 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon races. The atmosphere is electric as Christmas tunes fill the air along the illuminated community walkway, setting the stage for an enchanting evening run or stroll. Santa Claus, Kilcullen GAA Club's beloved mascot Raggy, and Rudolph are expected to join participants if their busy December schedules permit. The event culminates in a lively gathering at the clubhouse where Christmas carol singers entertain guests while hot chocolate (with a splash of Baileys for adults) and mulled wine await. Fancy dress is encouraged, with prizes awarded to the most festive outfits. Children may even receive small gifts from Santa if he makes an appearance. The event serves as a fundraiser for Kilcullen's "Field of Dreams" project, aiming to add three new hurling and football pitches along with other essential infrastructure improvements at the clubhouse. Registration is open to all walkers and runners; dogs are welcome on leashes but must be controlled throughout the event. Online entries close at 3 PM on Saturday, December 12th, though limited late registrations will be available in the clubhouse from 4-5 PM before each race begins.
