Immerse yourself in the scenic beauty of Deene Park Estate near Corby, where runners from various backgrounds come together for an unforgettable Trail Running Festival. This unique weekend-long celebration offers three distinct challenges that cater to different levels and styles of running. The first challenge is the Trail Mix Challenge, a 25k event spread over five hours with participants tackling a new 5km route each hour. Perfect for those looking to test their endurance, speed, and agility in rapid succession. Next up is the Headlight Hop, a 10k evening run that invites runners to navigate the trails under the glow of headlamps, adding an element of adventure as darkness sets in. For those seeking a traditional trail experience, there's the Thump Trail Half Marathon. This challenging 21.1km race features undulating terrain with numerous hills and stretches through dense woodland, offering breathtaking views along the way. Completing all three challenges grants runners eligibility for the ultimate prize: The Quest for the Golden Carrot, a grueling yet rewarding 56.1k journey that combines endurance, strategy, and determination. This epic race is not just about crossing the finish line but also earning recognition as one of the few to complete The Quest. The festival isn’t solely focused on racing; it’s an inclusive event designed for camaraderie and shared experiences. Free camping is provided, allowing participants to fully immerse themselves in the weekend's festivities. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just starting out, there are opportunities to challenge yourself while enjoying the stunning landscapes of Deene Park.
