MandaRUN Half Marathon & 5K

The MandaRUN Half Marathon & 5K returns for its impressive 19th year, presented by Loomis ACE Hardware and dedicated to supporting the educational initiatives of the seven schools within the Loomis Union School District through the Loomis Basin Education Foundation.
Participants in the half marathon will embark on a picturesque point-to-point course that begins at Placer High School in Auburn and concludes at the charming Historic Train Depot in downtown Loomis, offering runners an engaging mix of gentle rolling terrain along scenic routes praised by previous attendees for its beauty and uniqueness.
The 5K event is set as an out-and-back route starting from the same historic train depot, providing participants with a more compact yet equally captivating experience within the heart of Loomis.
Registration opens early in the morning, allowing runners to arrive at Placer High School by 6:15 AM for half marathon check-in and shuttle departure at 7:00 AM, followed by the race start promptly at 8:00 AM. The 5K event welcomes participants from 7:30 AM with a race start time of 9:00 AM.
All registrants will receive a technical t-shirt (short sleeve for 5K and long sleeve for half marathon) if they sign up by October 31, ensuring that the first 300 finishers in the half marathon are awarded a commemorative medal. Both events feature chip timing from Capital Race Management to provide accurate results.
Age group awards will be given out for both races (first through third place), and post-race refreshments await all participants at the conclusion of their run, celebrating their achievements with fellow runners and spectators alike in this community-driven event.
The MandaRUN is committed to going ahead regardless of weather conditions. Entry fees are non-refundable and cannot be transferred. Join us for a day filled with scenic beauty, spirited competition, and support for local education initiatives.
