Run From Away 2027 Marathon, Half Marathon & 6k

The Run From Away Marathon, Half Marathon, and 6K race returns to the picturesque town of Gander, Newfoundland and Labrador on May 29, 2027. Nestled amidst rolling hills and vibrant green landscapes, this event offers runners a challenging yet rewarding course that showcases the natural beauty of eastern Canada. Participants will experience diverse terrain, from smooth asphalt roads through quaint neighborhoods to scenic dirt trails winding around local parks.
The marathon route begins with an energizing start line in Gander's bustling downtown area before heading out into the surrounding countryside. As runners progress along the path, they are treated to panoramic views of lush forests and serene lakes that dot the landscape. The half marathon follows a similar yet condensed course, providing ample opportunities for breathtaking scenery without sacrificing pace or intensity.
Both distances culminate in an exhilarating finish back at the heart of Gander where cheering crowds await. For those looking for a shorter but equally engaging experience, the 6K race offers a compact loop that captures much of what makes this event special – scenic routes and strong community support. Whether you're chasing personal bests or simply enjoying the journey, Run From Away promises to be an unforgettable adventure in one of Canada's most charming towns.
Gander's hospitality extends beyond the finish line with post-race festivities including live music, local food vendors, and a celebratory atmosphere that makes every participant feel like part of the community.
