Running through scenic paths surrounded by lush greenery, the Community Mile Loop Run offers participants an engaging experience on October 2, 2026. The race course consists of a one-mile loop that is clearly marked with signs indicating half and full mile distances to help runners track their progress.
The event takes place in a community park where soft asphalt paths wind around grassy areas filled with trees and benches for rest stops. Participants can enjoy the picturesque surroundings while running or walking at their own pace, knowing they are contributing positively by supporting local charities that aid the homeless population through entry fees and donations.
Registration packets will be available on race morning starting from 6:05 AM, allowing early risers to pick up materials before heading out onto the course. The event officially begins at 6:30 AM with all runners setting off together or later as they choose, but everyone must complete their run by the 8:30 PM cutoff time.
Aid stations are strategically placed along the loop, ensuring that participants have easy access to water and snacks throughout the day. Runners can take advantage of these resources while enjoying the laid-back atmosphere created by volunteers who will be cheering them on from start to finish. Additionally, a water park within the venue offers runners an opportunity for quick refreshments if needed.
Upon completion of their run or walk, participants receive a swag bag and proof of mileage as recognition of their achievement. Race officials also take photos throughout the event that capture memorable moments which can be shared with friends and family later on.
The race is designed to accommodate all levels of runners by providing flexibility in distance without imposing strict time limits beyond those set for overall completion. Runners are encouraged but not required to use GPS tracking watches, though extremely fast paces will disqualify participants as the event emphasizes endurance over speed.
In adherence with community guidelines, no littering is permitted and violators risk being disqualified from the race entirely. The park remains open during the event, allowing spectators to join in the festivities or simply enjoy a day out amidst nature while supporting runners' efforts.
