Tavern at Towne Lake Turkey Trot 5k

On November 26, 2026, Woodstock, Georgia will host the inaugural Tavern at Towne Lake Turkey Trot 5K. This community-driven race kicks off Thanksgiving morning on bustling Towne Lake Parkway, offering runners of all ages and abilities a chance to come together before the holiday feast. Whether you're aiming for personal bests or simply looking for an enjoyable way to celebrate, this event promises a festive atmosphere filled with family, friends, and neighbors.
The scenic 5K route winds through picturesque neighborhoods and along serene waterways, providing runners with breathtaking views of Towne Lake. Participants can expect a flat course that is both welcoming to beginners and competitive enough for seasoned athletes seeking strong times. The race not only celebrates the spirit of Thanksgiving but also supports a worthy cause: proceeds from the event benefit Cherokee County Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), an organization dedicated to impacting local students, athletes, and coaches by fostering leadership skills and faith development.
So lace up your shoes, grab your loved ones, don some festive turkey hats, and join us for this heartwarming tradition that brings Woodstock's community closer together. Every step taken during the Turkey Trot helps make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people across Cherokee County.
