About the Event

Experience the Rip to River Classic Run on December 28, 2026, starting at Pt Lonsdale Back Beach just below the lifeguard tower. The race kicks off with a scenic run along the beach track, offering breathtaking views of the coastline as you make your way through this picturesque setting. Participants can also opt for an earlier start time to join the Ripper Nipper event or the 5km Beach Run at Ocean Grove Main Beach.
For those choosing the full experience, the 10km Classic Run features a challenging yet rewarding course that winds its way along the beach and into Pt Lonsdale. The day promises a vibrant atmosphere with energetic crowds cheering on runners as they push through to the finish line.
Participants can collect their bibs either at Ocean Grove Surf Life Saving Club between 4-6pm on December 27th or in the morning of the event from both clubs, depending on your chosen race category. The coach service is available to ferry participants back to Pt Lonsdale SLSC after completing the run.
Don't miss this opportunity to immerse yourself in a day filled with scenic beauty and thrilling competition along Victoria's stunning coastline.
