38th Rip View Swim Classic

The 38th Rip View Swim Classic returns on December 30, 2026, to Point Lonsdale on Victoria's scenic Bellarine Peninsula. Swimmers of all levels can choose from three distances: the 600m Groyne to Groyne Youth and Open swims for younger competitors and adults alike; a challenging 1.4km swim open to those aged twelve and up; and an exhilarating 3.8km course suitable for swimmers sixteen years and older.
Set in clean, shallow waters protected from the ocean swell, this event offers ideal conditions for fast times and memorable experiences. Swimmers benefit from the ebbing tide, which provides a natural tow along the shoreline course marked with buoys on their right side. The safety-conscious environment features small age groupings and friendly volunteers to ensure all participants have an enjoyable day.
With over 1,000 swimmers expected this year, including elite Ironman athletes and national-level competitors, the Rip View Swim Classic offers a vibrant atmosphere of camaraderie and competition just minutes from Melbourne, Geelong, or the Surf Coast.
