NORTH FORK CLOTHING presents the Rattlesnake Dick 50K, 25K, & 10K races, set to challenge and celebrate runners on March 20, 2027. Participants will enjoy a generous cut-off time of ten hours for all distances, ensuring ample opportunity to experience the rugged beauty of Auburn hills while trekking poles are allowed for added support. The event is steeped in history, inspired by Rattlesnake Dick, an outlaw known as "the Pirate of the Placers," who roamed these hilly landscapes over a century ago. As you traverse challenging terrains and climb elevations that peak at 4,700 feet for the full marathon distance, imagine yourself part of his legendary posse in search of hidden treasures. Race day parking is available with fees not included in registration; visitors can display their Golden Poppy Pass or purchase a $10 day use pass upon entry. Early packet pick-up begins on March 19th from 3-7pm at the Placer County Visitors Bureau, while race morning options are available between 6-8am. Aid stations are strategically placed throughout each course to ensure runners have access to water and full services when needed. The 50K route features multiple aid points including No Hands (full), Portland Avenue (two stops with full supplies), Oregon Bar (water only at two locations), Rattlesnake Bar Equestrian Lot, and a turnaround point before heading back toward the finish line. Runners will be tracked live through UltraLive.net, providing real-time updates for friends and family. All participants receive an exclusive "Rattlesnake Dick" event shirt designed by North Fork Clothing, while finishers earn high-quality medals under ten hours of race time. Top three male and female competitors in each distance are awarded custom trophies. Join us as we uncover the legend of Rattlesnake Dick through this thrilling adventure across scenic trails, ensuring a memorable experience for all participants.
