Rando/ Run Spélé'Horreur

Get ready for the first-ever SPELE'HORREUR RANDO & RUN, an eerie yet enchanting adventure that combines spooky fun with outdoor exploration. This unique event invites participants to choose from three distinct routes: 5 kilometers, 10 kilometers, and a challenging 15-kilometer option. Whether you're in it for the run or prefer a leisurely stroll, this trail offers something for everyone.
The highlight of SPELE'HORREUR RANDO & RUN is its underground passage through the historic caves of Cinq-Mars-la-Pile. For two kilometers, runners and walkers will navigate dimly lit tunnels adorned with Halloween-themed decorations and animated displays that bring a touch of horror to your adventure. The eerie atmosphere is enhanced by the presence of local mushroom farmers who share their knowledge about this unique underground ecosystem.
Dressing up in costumes for this event is highly encouraged; those who do so can look forward to special rewards as part of the festivities. This year's edition promises an immersive experience, blending elements of Halloween with a scenic trail run or walk through one of France’s lesser-known natural wonders.
The race takes place on Saturday, November 7th, 2026, starting at 17:30 from the gymnase located at 3 Allée Jean-Pierre Cottet in Cinq-Mars-la-Pile. Registration is available both online and on-site with pricing set at €5 for adults and children over twelve years old, €3 for kids aged six to twelve, and free entry for those under six.
All participants are welcome regardless of skill level or group size—whether you're running solo, tagging along with friends, family members, or fellow enthusiasts. Refreshments will be provided on the 10-kilometer and 15-kilometer routes, and a small café offering drinks and snacks is available at the finish line.
Participants are required to bring their own headlamps for the underground portion of the route; these can also be purchased on-site if needed. This event promises an unforgettable blend of excitement and adventure perfect for anyone seeking a unique experience this autumn season.
