Preston Fast 5 Road Race

On April 14, 2027, runners will converge on the University of Lancashire Sports Arena in Preston for a fast and flat 5K race organized by Preston Harriers. Held on a traffic-free, one-mile lap cycle track with no tight corners, this event offers an ideal setting to achieve personal best times over three laps.
The Wednesday evening race is part of a series running through Spring and early Summer, providing regular opportunities for runners to hone their skills. Two races are scheduled that night: Race 1 starts at 7:00 PM for those aiming under 19 minutes with an entry limit of 70 participants; Race 2 begins at 7:30 PM for runners looking to clock times over 19 minutes, accommodating up to 90 entrants.
Participants aged 16 and older on race day can register in advance as no entries are accepted on-site. Numbers must be collected from 5:45 PM onwards before the start of each race. The arena offers toilet facilities for runners' convenience.
