PHOENIX - Surrey - Wild Goose Chase 2026

Join Phoenix Running for an unforgettable Wild Goose Chase along the picturesque Thames River! This unique timed event offers runners of all abilities the chance to explore a stunning 5.3km (3.28 miles) out-and-back course at their own pace, with options ranging from one lap to multiple laps and even ultra distances within a generous 7-hour time limit.
The flexible start times allow you to rock up anytime during your designated hour window without the stress of waiting or rushing. Whether it's early morning mist over the river or golden afternoon light reflecting off the water, each moment offers its own charm. The course itself is an out-and-back trail along a flat and fast riverside towpath with no elevation changes, making for a smooth yet engaging run.
For those who cherish every finish line moment, Phoenix Running’s bespoke medals are second to none. But recognizing that times can be tough, this year's event introduces a 'no medal' entry option at just £20. This means you get all the usual support—epic aid stations, same-day results publication, digital BIBs and certificates—but without the cost of a custom finisher’s medal.
The beauty of this format lies in its flexibility; runners can decide on race day how far they wish to go based on their comfort level. Whether it's one lap or multiple laps, you’re free to set your own pace and enjoy the serene surroundings as long as you like within the 7-hour window.
