PHOENIX - Surrey - Candy Cane Run 2026

Join Phoenix Running for an enchanting Christmas Candy Cane Run along the picturesque Thames River on December 12, 2026. This flexible timed event offers runners of all abilities the opportunity to choose their own adventure from a variety of distances including 5km, 10k, half marathon, full marathon, and ultra options. Participants can complete as many or as few laps as they wish on an out-and-back course that stretches for 3.28 miles (5.3 kilometers) along the river's serene towpath.
The event features a unique start system where runners can choose their own entry time within a one-hour window, allowing everyone to run at their preferred pace without waiting or rushing. With no strict starting lineup, participants are free to begin when they feel ready and tackle as many laps as desired during the full 7-hour race window.
Phoenix Running is renowned for its stunning finisher medals, but this year’s event introduces a new twist: runners can opt for a "no medal" entry at just £20. This option includes all of Phoenix's standard support services such as real-time results, aid stations stocked with refreshments, and digital certificates upon completion, while keeping the cost low.
The course itself is flat and fast, offering an ideal setting for both casual runners looking to enjoy a single lap and serious competitors aiming to maximize their distance. The riverside towpath winds through stunning scenery, providing a peaceful backdrop as you navigate the 3.28-mile loop.
With limited spots available, early registration is highly recommended to secure your place in this festive running event that combines fun with flexibility. Whether it’s a quick jog or an extended endurance challenge, the Christmas Candy Cane Run promises an unforgettable experience for all who participate.
